On Sunday 26 February 2023 Kent FA hosted the 50+ Walking Football Cup at the YMCA in Maidstone. Teams from across the county battled it out, but Maidstone United were triumphant beating reigning champions Woodnesborough.
After the group stages the top two teams from each group and the two top third-placed teams made up the quarterfinals, which was whittle down further to four teams to play in the semi-finals. This saw Maidstone meet Woodchurch and last years champions, Woodnesborough play Tonbridge.
The Stones beat Woodchurch 2-0, going through to meet Woodnesborough – a repeat of the previous years final.
The final was a tense affair with both teams battling hard, Woodnesborough to retain their crown and Maidstone to put right the defeat from the year before. The game ended 0-0 and so penalties beckoned, from which Maidstone emerged victorious.
