At the heart of everything we do is a belief that sport has the power to change lives. Football may bring people through the door, but it is the friendships formed, confidence built and opportunities created that make the lasting difference. Throughout 2024/25, we have continued to see first-hand how our programmes help people improve their wellbeing, overcome challenges and feel part of something bigger than themselves.
This report demonstrates the breadth of that impact. Over 10,000 engagements were delivered across Maidstone through programmes focused on mental health, disability sport, physical wellbeing, youth engagement and social connection. Behind every one of those engagements is a person whose life has been positively influenced through the support, encouragement and opportunities provided by Stones in the Community.
Our work would not be possible without the dedication of our staff, volunteers and trustees, the ongoing support of Maidstone United Football Club, and the generosity of our sponsors, funding partners and supporters. Together, we are helping to create a healthier, more inclusive and more connected community.
While we are proud of this year’s achievements, we recognise there is still much more to do. Demand for our services continues to grow, and we remain committed to expanding our reach so that more people can benefit from the life-changing power of sport and community.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, thank you to everyone who has contributed to our success over the past year. We look forward to building on these achievements and changing even more lives in the years ahead.

A year in numbers
Impact at a glance 2024-25
During 2024/25, Stones in the Community delivered more than 10,000 engagements across a diverse range of programmes supporting local residents, schools and families.
While these figures are significant, they represent something far more important: individuals gaining confidence, friendships being formed, barriers being removed and lives being improved.

Together we can change more lives
Building healthier lives
Stronger communities. Better futures. Every statistic in this report represents a person whose life has been positively influenced through the power of sport, connection and community. From supporting mental health and reducing isolation, to creating opportunities for young people and championing inclusive sport, Stones in the Community continues to make a lasting difference across Maidstone.
As the official charity of Maidstone United Football Club, we are proud of what has been achieved during 2024/25. However, the need for our services continues to grow and so does our ambition to reach more people, develop new programmes and strengthen our impact across the community.
None of this is possible without the support of our partners, funders, volunteers, participants and supporters.
