U11s NLT Southern Finals Tournament

Loose Primary School finish as finalists

Congratulations and commiserations to Loose Primary School who finished as finalist beaten 2-1 in the final of the NLT Southern Finals Tournament.

On Tuesday, Loose Primary School U11’s Boys, representing Maidstone, headed to Arbour Park, Slough FC to take part in the U11’s NLT Southern Finals after successfully winning the Regional Finals a few weeks back at Tonbridge Angels FC.

NLT Southern Finals Finalists Loose Primary School.

The boys were placed first in their group (out of 6), winning their first 3 games, losing 1 and then drawing their last game 0-0, which saw them through to the semi-final. In the semi’s they were drawn against Wealdstone FC who they beat 2-0 to take them into the final – one game away from going to the NLT Finals at Wembley.

In the final they came up against St Albans FC (who were the only team to have beaten them in the group stage). Despite the boys from Loose going 2-0 behind, they kept their resolve creating chances as they pushed for a goal. Their resilience paid off as they managed to score, taking the tie to 2-1, however in a hard fought game time was against then, with the final score finishing 2-1 to St Albans FC.

We wish St Albans all the best as they go through to the Finals at Wembley. Huge congratulations goes to the boys from Loose Primary School who pushed them all the way. They were a credit to themselves, their coach – Louis Corcoran, Loose Primary School and Maidstone United, showing great sportsmanship and resilience.

Well done lads you left it all out on the pitch.
